For too long we have thought that faith is what we only use when we face difficult circumstances. But for the believer, faith is inseparable from our life, because, ‘The righteous will live by faith’ (Rom 1:17). From the life of Abraham, we learn that faith involves full obedience, separation from the world and fixing our eyes on the heavenly city (Heb 11:16). We see how Abraham matured in his faith, from wavering trust in God to an unshakeable faith that can resurrect the dead & create something out of nothing (Rom 4:17).
