We believe that we are living in the end of the end times, and as such, the knowledge of the Millennium Kingdom, which will begin after Jesus’ 2nd Coming, and the confirmation that we will reign with Christ then, is crucial.
Many Christians have a vague understanding of what will happen after Jesus comes, like ‘We will all go to heaven’. However, the end goal of our salvation is not simply going to heaven, but reigning with Jesus, for 1000 years. While many have assumed that they will surely make it to the Millennium Kingdom, the Bible specifically states that only the Bride (those wearing fine linen) will come down with Jesus (Rev 19:8,14), and that some may possibly not have their wedding clothes on (Mt 22:11-13). …Read More
There will be 2 groups of people who will exist in the Millennium Kingdom: 1) those who survive the Armageddon War, who did not receive the Mark of the Beast, and will be the ‘foreigners’ serving Israel (Is 60:10); 2) the royal priests that will descend with Jesus (Rev 20:6) when He places His foot on the Mount of Olives (Zech 14:4). Those who survive the Armageddon War will live with their natural bodies. They would increase in numbers, die (Is 65:20), sin and even judge (or be destroyed) by God (Is 60:12, Zech 14:17-19). While in their resurrected bodies (1 Cor 15:42-44), the royal priests will shine (Is 60:1, Dan 12:3), not die, and live life on earth without physical limitations – become strong.
What about the rest who have died in Christ? They will either be in Paradise (Lk 23:43) or the place of weeping & gnashing of teeth (Mt 22:13, 25:30) – where they will mourn for their haphazard living. Those dead who are not believers will only rise to be judged at the end of the Millennium Kingdom (Rev 20:5,12). As such, our life on Earth must be lived in preparation for the glorious day of the Millennium Kingdom. This will determine the rewards we will receive at the Judgment Seat of Christ (Rev 20:4, 2 Cor 5:10), and the brightness of the light that we will shine (Is 60:1).
Isaiah 60 is a passage that describes what Israel will become in the Millennium Kingdom, whereby the people of God will shine bright (v1-3), and the nations will come to Jerusalem to worship God because of the light, bringing their wealth & offerings with them (v4-9). The people of God will have their dignity restored (v15-16), bringing glory to God (v21), and earth & creation will also be perfected (v6-7,13). All violence will cease (v18), all sorrow will be removed (v15,20) and the people of God will become a strong army that will resist satan at the time of his release (Gog & Magog war in Rev 20).
The Millennium Kingdom is surely a reality, as it is described in great detail in the Bible (Isaiah 58-65, Zechariah 13-14, Ezekiel 40-48, Revelation 20-21). It is the destiny of Israel as well as the children of God (spiritual Israel). As we embark on pilgrimage to Israel this week, we want to proclaim to Israel that they should not lose hope, but to persevere through all the hardships that is nearing, because the time of the fulfilment of Isaiah 60 will soon come upon them, and for the Church that stands alongside Israel. For the Lord “in its time…will do this swiftly” (60:22).
